Why We Built This Site
Texas permits broad public access to many court dockets, yet Ector County has no single clerk or database for every case. The District Clerk maintains district civil, family, and felony records. The County Clerk holds county-level and probate files, while each justice court and Odessa Municipal Court keeps its own lower-court docket. The local Odyssey portal is a strong first stop for an index or hearing, and re:SearchTX offers a statewide cross-check. This site brings those official routes together without replacing the court that owns the record.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how Ector County criminal court dockets and civil court dockets are searched and read
- Court settings: how to read the court schedule and confirm a hearing with the court
- Docket lookups: how to use a name or cause number in the local and statewide search systems
- Record requests: how court case records and certified copies are obtained from the proper Ector County clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to an Ector County court, a Texas clerk, or a government agency. Its limits are important:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside providers. Those providers control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through a tool may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set a partner's charges or determine the records it returns. For an official Ector County docket or certified file, verify the information with the clerk or court that maintains it.
